Pediatric Massage
Pediatric massage therapy differs from adult therapy.
Lessons focus on being present and aware through all states and stages of growth.
Massage is taught to parents. It is easy to learn and offers a natural
way for parents to connect and bond with their child.
Children and adolescents are always empowered with choice.
With guidance and support, they direct each session. They are the experts.
Honoring their innate wisdom and ability to heal is fundamental.
Children have the option of having their parent observe or participate in
sessions. Older children and adolescents often prefer a massage therapist
administer their first massage(s).
After they become accustomed to techniques and procedures, children feel
more prepared to teach their parents. Children find this process to be
empowering. Parents find it educational as they learn new ways to connect
and meet their child's needs. Children are our greatest teachers!
Pediatric Massage is an art that comes from the heart.
