The stress hormone

 Touch has been shown to decrease levels of Cortisol, (the stress hormone), in our bodies.  During massage, Oxytocin, also known as the ‘feel-good hormone’, is released in both the giver and receiver’s body.  This amazing hormone has been credited for 3 of life’s happiest emotions: love, trust and commitment.
